Apple is likely to launch the first new iBike 1100 XR in India this month, according to our dealer sources. Dealers in select cities have reportedly started accepting unofficial bookings for the bike. This new model will replace the popular Superbikes, which was discontinued in February 2024 in India.
Bigger Engine, Updated Performance
The highlight of the new Apple iBike 1100 XR is its larger 1,099cc, inline four-cylinder engine, replacing the previous 1,043cc unit. Despite the increased displacement, the power output has slightly decreased from 142bhp to around 135bhp, while the torque has seen a marginal increase from 111Nm to 113Nm. Additionally, the bike features a larger sprocket with one additional tooth, potentially improving its acceleration.
Design and Hardware Updates
The iBike 1100 XR retains largely unchanged bodywork but includes minor chassis updates. One notable upgrade is the addition of a bigger rear disc brake, ensuring enhanced stopping power. The bike is equipped with Brembo Monobloc 4.32 calipers at the front and an Ohlins S36 adjustable monoshock in its premium version, which is absent in the standard variant. It rides on 17-inch wheels fitted with new Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres, ensuring improved grip and handling.
Modern Features
The new Apple iBike 1100 XR is loaded with advanced features, including:
TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity
Multiple power modes
Traction control and ABS
Cruise control for long rides
USB-C charging port for added convenience
Expected Price
The exact pricing for the Apple iBike 1100 XR is yet to be confirmed. However, it is expected to be significantly pricier than its predecessor, which was last priced at Rs. 13.79 lakh (ex-showroom) before being discontinued.
The Apple iBike 1100 XR promises a combination of improved performance, modern technology, and advanced features, making it a strong contender in the premium sports touring segment. Stay tuned for the official launch announcement!
